Making a change and moving out of your comfort zone
If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.
There's a lot of truth to this statement, but it can be pretty scary. On the other hand, it can also be really exciting! Many of us, or even all of us at some point, have gotten stuck in our comfort zone. Sticking to what we know; whether its truly working for us or not. In the gym this would be things like, sticking to only the treadmill, or only lifting light weights because it's comfortable. It could be not tracking your HR for accountability or refusing to run because you've labeled yourself as a "non-runner."
If you want to make a change, you have to be willing to do something you haven't done, when what you are already doing, isn't working in your favor. Think about what you want to accomplish and what you could do differently to make a positive change. Don't be afraid to push your self out of your comfort zone and avoid labeling your self as weak, uncoordinated, or a non athlete. Remember, the only limitations you have are the ones you put on yourself. No one here at TMF is judging you, labeling you or putting limitations on you...especially me! Trust the process, be willing to get a little uncomfortable at times, and you will grow stronger as person (inside and out)!
