confidence and strength challenge
Good morning ladies! Once again our past week was worth mentioning again! I'm watching many of you gaining confidence to push yourself a little harder, lift a little heavier, get comfortable being a little uncomfortable. Embrace knowing strength training is most important for a healthy body and bones. Cardio and more movement is good for our minds and our heart but it won't boost your metabolism, build bone mass or build lean muscle mass which are key to a healthy, lean and strong body.
The Body Achieves what the mind believes!
Your mind is your most powerful tool. The way you think informs the way you perform...100%. We all have a time where we want to quit, shy away and doubt ourselves, inside and out of the gym. What's important is we dig a little deeper, draw on our resources and support and take the step to face a challenge that will lead us to become stronger and more resilient.
Add Strength Training In Your Week
Lifting weights boosts energy and improves mood - I can actually see this in some participants after class!
Belly Pooch from Pregnancy
When you give birth, your abs take a beating! If you have a weak core (lower ab pooch) and suffer from lower back pain at times, check out this article that teaches you a core strengthening technique- similar to the one we do in class....the Pelvic Tilt!!
